Clare Shiraishi is a current JD candidate at Cardozo Law. With a BA in Global Liberal Studies (concentrating in Critical Creative Production) from NYU, she showcased her interests in the intersection between media, cultural production, and social analysis through her Senior Thesis on the Asian Fetish titled, "Don't Love Me Long Time: Unravelling Yellow Fever."
She took up photography initially to document her little sister, and her love for it grew as she learned more about the power and complexity of the medium. Playing with both film and digital, she enjoys experimenting and creating content that is meaningful to her.
She has used her skills in photography, videography, and post-production in her internship for Mayor De Blasio's Office of Creative Communications, creating promotional videos and visual content for music producer Squired, and continues to create content for her own pleasure. She was recently the Content Director for Unlearn Initiative, where she was responsible for producing and organizing educational content on activism and decolonizing the international school education in Japan.
Hungry for growth and creating social change, she hopes to make long-lasting impressions through meaningful projects.
